Why not a wedding planner?

Bryan and I got engaged on our trip to Nashville in 2018 and upon arriving home to share in celebrations with our family and friends, one of the first things we received was a wedding planner. And let me tell you, I filled that binder. It was so helpful for keeping all the vendor quotes, ideas and scrap paper notes together as we planned for our big day.

So if I found so much value in the planner itself, why didn’t I create one for our own wedding collection? For one simple reason - memories, it’s what we do. Our brand and our values are based around memories, lying at the core of everything we do. When I first explored the idea of adding a journal to our wedding collection to accompany our prints, I knew the focus had to be around memories.

While yes the planner served us well in preparing for our big day, there were no places to actually document those special memories we spent so much time preparing for. Incoming idea… a wedding *journal* to relive in that journey to marriage. So that’s what I did.

The journal starts with the engagement, the ring, the story. Maybe one may say the pure bliss of ignorance in not knowing the time and effort that would follow in preparing for the sought after big day. While the book then touches on special details like a list of vendors and wedding party, the pages then flip to detail some of the special events leading up to the big day such as the bridal shower, the bachelorette, the bachelor party, the buck and doe, dress shopping and more. Then as you reach about the halfway point in the book, you will find pages upon pages to fill out regarding the big day itself. Getting ready, vows, the ceremony, photos with family and friends, photos of just you two, the reception and more will guide you through, concluding with the honeymoon.

The wedding journal is truly one of my favourite products because there was so much intention that went into carefully creating each page. There is no other product out there like this one. It can be so easy to get caught up in the little details of planning for the big day that we forget to be present in the moment and embrace the memories. While this book is no recipe for minimizing any stress leading up to the day, I hope it helps you feel joy in the memories you are making as part of our journey.

Attending a wedding? Our wedding journals make for the most thoughtful engagement or wedding gifts.

In one of my ‘ah-ha’ moments, I emptied the jar of blooms on a blank sheet of paper and arranged each piece carefully across the page
